2007 4th Board meeting of the Japan Association of National University Libraries was held at University of Tokyo Library on May 16, 2008.
The operations of JANUL in 2007 were reported.
There was active discussion about many issues, such as (1) how to elect the directors and what the committees should be, (2) what the association should be, (3) the role of each candidate library of director, (4) the proposal of JANUL Symposium, (5) the proposal of continuation of the overseas training project, (6) the proposed FY2007 statement of accounts, (7) the proposed FY2008 business plan, (8) the proposed FY2008 budget, (9) dispatching officials to the related bodies, (10) details of the 55th General Assembly, (11) the organizer and schedule of the 56th General Assembly.
On the same day, the Committee of General Affairs, the Committee on Scholarly Information, the Committee on Human Resources and the Committee on International Scholarly Communication held their meetings.
